DESCRIPTION:Aviva presents Jonathan Godfrey \nJonathan Godfrey is a sought-after guitarist and composer in the Tampa Bay region\, praised as “invitingly poetic” and a staple of South Florida’s music scene. He has performed in more than 100 concerts with The Florida Orchestra and appeared with ensembles including the Sarasota Orchestra\, Sarasota Opera\, and St. Pete Baroque\, sharing the stage with artists such as Bernadette Peters. Head of guitar studies at the University of South Florida\, Godfrey presents solo programs that are both engaging and accessible\, featuring Spanish and classical works by composers ranging from Bach to Pat Metheny. \nRSVPs are required! Please call 813-400-3277 to RSVP. \nWe kindly request all RSVPs be submitted 5 days prior to the event. \nThis concert is presented as part of Aviva’s 2026 Ernie Kretzmer Concert Series. A full calendar of incredible live musical performances in honor of our friend\, Ernie Kretzmer. Ernie’s passion for the arts\, particularly music\, has helped support dozens of performances and artists throughout Sarasota.
