Strictly Jazz features pianist Mickey Basil. Born in Annapolis, Basil started playing piano at age five. His formal education includes studies at Berklee College of Music. He has toured with entertainers such as Kathie Lee Gifford, Brenda Lee, and Ronald Reagan.
