Ernie Kretzmer Concert Series: Claudio Jaffé

Aviva presents Claudio Jaffé.

Claudio Jaffé began his solo career at age eleven with an orchestral debut in his native Brazil and has since performed in major musical centers worldwide, including New York, London, Tokyo, and Buenos Aires. Praised by The New York Times as “an elegant and accomplished artist,” he is principal cellist of the Florida Grand Opera and Palm Beach Symphony and serves as Music Director of the Florida Youth Orchestra. A prizewinner in international competitions, Jaffé holds four degrees from Yale University, including a Doctor of Musical Arts, and is widely respected as a performer, conductor, and educator.

Ernie’s passion for the arts, particularly music, has helped support dozens of performances and artists throughout Sarasota. Aviva is honored to continue Ernie’s legacy through our newly named annual concert series.
