Aviva presents Jonathan Godfrey

Jonathan Godfrey is a sought-after guitarist and composer in the Tampa Bay region, praised as “invitingly poetic” and a staple of South Florida’s music scene. He has performed in more than 100 concerts with The Florida Orchestra and appeared with ensembles including the Sarasota Orchestra, Sarasota Opera, and St. Pete Baroque, sharing the stage with artists such as Bernadette Peters. Head of guitar studies at the University of South Florida, Godfrey presents solo programs that are both engaging and accessible, featuring Spanish and classical works by composers ranging from Bach to Pat Metheny.

Aviva is honored to continue Ernie’s legacy through our newly named annual concert series.
